Patchogue at a glance
Patchogue is an incorporated village on Patchogue Bay, part of the Great South Bay, about 60 miles east of Manhattan, on flat outwash plain land typical of the South Shore. Its downtown, recognized in 2019 by the American Planning Association, is a transit hub with an LIRR station on the Montauk Branch and ferries to Fire Island, and the main roads are Sunrise Highway (NY 27), Route 112 and Montauk Highway. The 2020 census counted 5,776 housing units in the village.
